About Us:
We met in Hollywood, California in April of 1989. Cheryl was pursuing a career in acting and I was lead singer in a rock band. Talk about 2 people who were living for themselves.
Looking back we see where God was drawing us to Himself.
We were married in June of 1992 and became parents of our first daughter, Savanna, in May of 1994. We then moved to Nashville, TN., Kenosha, WI., and then Tulsa, OK., searching for happiness. In Tulsa we started attending a local church searching for more in life than what we were experiencing. Although Cheryl had had received Jesus as her Savior many years earlier, it wasn't until we walked into Victory Christian Center and fully surrendered to Christ that we discovered how rich and fulfilling the Christian life could be.
In our 10 years in Tulsa we got grounded at church, attended bible college, had our second daughter, Abbey, and thought finally, we had arrived. But God had other plans and moved us back home to Kenosha, WI. for 9 years where we became associate pastors of True Life Christian Center. About the same time we opened our own business fitting hearing aids. Things were going great.
Yet we started to feel there was more for us. We prayed and talked for about 6 months and one day Cheryl was reading a magazine about children in an orphanage in Thailand. She heard the Spirit of the Lord say "That's what you're going to do." She didn't say anything to me for about a week and then one day said "Hey what do you think about moving to Thailand and working with children at an orphanage?" Within a week we were studying the Thai language and preparing for the move. We felt the Lord had given us a 3 year time frame to prepare and in hindsight I am so glad we had that time to pray and prepare ourselves and our daughters. We visited Chiang Mai, Thailand where we met a beautiful family who have run an orphanage for 24 years. We stayed with them for 10 days and felt the Lord had provided an open door for us as the family asked if would be interested in coming to live and serve with them. The rest, as they say, is history. We now live at the orphanage and enjoy living in community with these precious people.
We want to see people set free and healed, spirit, soul, and body. We want them to know they have a place in heaven for eternity if they will just come as they are, ask Jesus to forgive them, and let Him make all things new. It wont be easy but it's so worth it. We want them to discover their God given gifts and use them to lift others out of despair and bring Glory to the Father.
